This is Mr Wells,one of the original Florida Highwaymen painters, at our library. He painted this canvas during a program.He is almost blind now and it was interesting to see him paint.

As you can tell by this post, I am new at this blogging stuff and maybe not catching on real fast. I have an account with Flickr (marked private as it is a work in progress. Town history) I am doing OK grouping, tagging and so forth but mixing blogging? I'm just going to show my failure in this blog.I am more familar with Picasa, snapfish and several other sites but I will add my collection to our district collections in Flickr at a later date.

Thing 4: RSS and Newsreaders

This was new to me! so much information but fun. I thought the video was good. I think I get it... I got carried away with Google Reader and subscribed to way too much. I will have to figure out how to undo. When I get this straighten out I know this is the way to keep informed.

Thing #3: Blog Search Tools

I am amazed at the number of bloggers. A million post a day! WOW.. Discribed by the Technorati article "A truly global phenomenon." I searched Growing Roses (all that came to mind,it worked) in Technorati and Google. I got over 200,000 in Google and 900,00 in Technorati. Google blogs were relevent to my subject, Many Technorati blogs had no relevance at all. I guess many bloggers had not officially listed their blogs.
In Google I could add an e-mail alert for new post on growing roses. Google also had nice photos from Flicker

THING #2

I am participating in 23 things @ NEFLIN because I don't want to be left behind! I watch YouTube when friends e-mail me sites but social networking I know nothing about.
I do use Ebay and Wikipedia and I read where these are considered 2.0 tools.
